And now I tell you openly
you have my heart so don't hurt me... -"Dreams", The Cranberries Baww, I couldn't think of a decent title for this picture >_> So I thought those lyrics were suitable. I like that song :3 So, this is my entry for a competition over at the KuroFai comm on LJ which ends Friday. I thought I might as well put it up now cause I'm going away for a few days and I'm working Thursday so I might end up forgetting D: This picture was kind of odd. I was super excited about starting it, and after I finished colouring most of Fai's jacket (which took so long oh wow O_O I am forever thankful that Fai's primary clothing colour is also my favourite colour :"D) I was really pleased with how it was going so far. And then after that something happened and I lost focus ;__; I don't know why. And after that I just felt kind of all over the place with this drawing :/ But the funny thing is it turned out pretty much like I wanted. I was kind of going for the children's storybook, patterny effect which I think I sort of got. I don't really like how it scanned though. Some parts look better, some parts look worse D: I also made a huge mistake with the composition. This pic can kind of be looked at from either portrait or landscape, I didn't decide at the start which one specifically D: So I couldn't really decide which one looked best. I hope it looks okay >_> Learn from your mistakes children..... So overall it was an awkward drawing :/ I'm not too sure how I feel about it anymore. However, I do like how the crossing chords from each heart ended up looking like arteries or veins in one of those biology diagrams X"D Oxyegenated and deoxygenated...I think that was it :/ Anyways, hope you guys like :3 I really hope Fai and Kuro-puu get their happy endings DDD: GET OUT OF THE STUPID SYAOSAKU FLASHBACK CLAMP, GAWD!!! Medium: UniPin pens, Faber Castel sanguine pens, watercolours, Letraset Promarkers, white and black ink. PS CS3 for adjustments. I'll shut up now.... The coloring is GORGEOUS
Honestly, I think the Fai part of the picture works better than the Kurogane part, I got a little confused when it came to following his legs VS his cloak (Omg I called it a SHAWL first, like he's a pensioner or smth).
But it doesn't really take away from the pic~! Which has a really nice line quality, might i add xD
The Fai part of the pic sort of reminded me a little of 11th Cat when I looked at it first, have you ever read it? I love it ;3; Just the coloring, and the feet and stuff xD

huh?? i didn't mean for it to look exactly like that project, i just sort of wanted to simplify the faces and stuff a bit. i think that's what i meant by "children's book".

but i'm glad you like it overall, thankyou! <3 yes, i love just wetting the paper and letting the watercolours do their own thing. hm, do you think so? i always have problems with his hair, it looks quite simple but is oddly complex ;_;
i also think the fai part works better. i think that's a composition problem again :/
