Finally getting that embarressingly fangirly journal off my page.

I'll feature 3 pieces of art from the first 15 people to reply to this journal-- and in return you have to do the same in your journal, with me as the first feature.

Well, since :iconmorbid-tyriel: featured me~

1. :iconmorbid-tyriel: I've always admired this gal's gracefully dark yet solid style and absolute definace to flaunt her personality and emotions through her gorgeous creations <3

Handle Bars - One of her beautiful fantasy character designs <3
Amuraz and his Beauties - I love the browns in this so much. And again, those horns~
Pluck The Little Heart Tree - I've liked this piece for a long time. Just those bold lines and the starkness of the red.

15 spaces left you guys :"D

SO! First week back in college, first week of third year animation. First week living in a house with friends for the first time : O I'm still adjusting to everything, I think I'm kind of overwhelmed, I can only really remember fragments of this week ;_; But I am eager to start making films again, despite the imminent stress that awaits me :"D

Oh! And I went to a special advance screening of Pixar's "UP" last Sunday with a talk from director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera. It was a really wonderful movie, and the talk with Pixar people afterwards was just as awesome ;mmm; One of the small perks of being an animation student :"DDDD

I've also managed to catch a cold on the first week back ;_; I spent all day today in my pyjama bottoms reading about children's book illustration, but I feel better.

Also I had a peanutbutter and honey bagel in town yesterday on my way to get the bus and I think it was the nicest thing I've ever tasted ever ;m;

Commission Guidelines

I AM OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS!

General Prices
Sketch- $7/5 euros
Inked lineart (uncoloured)- $13/10 euros
Fully rendered, coloured piece (traditional or digital)- $20/15 euros

These prices do NOT include shipping. Shipping prices will of course vary depending on what part of the world you're in.

All of the above prices will not be altered dependeding on the complexity of the piece, for example, the number of characters depicted in the piece, or whether the pieces depict full-body poses or just head and shoulders poses. For example, if you want an inked lineart of 3 characters depicted head to toe, the price will still be 10 euros/$13 (not including shipping of course).

I plan on using A4 sized paper for these commissions. HOWEVER if you wish to increase the size of the piece (to A3, A2 etc.), I will charge $4/3 euros extra. Varying sizes will also affect shipping costs.

With each TRADITIONAL commission, I will include the print AT REQUEST at no extra charge along with the original drawing. Of course, with DIGITAL commissions I will send you the print ONLY, but I will e-mail you a high-res version of the piece.

Payment Method
I WILL ACCEPT PAYPAL ONLY. I will not accept cheques, money orders, Western Union money transfers etc. Also, I will require that you pay AT LEAST half the commission price before I begin your drawing if you are unable to pay the full price upfront.

How I work
For Traditional pieces, it can be gauranteed I'll be using watercolours/gouache paint, with perhaps the inclusion of Letraset Promarkers (examples of this can be seen here >> [link] (watercolour plus marker) [link] (gouache). I also like to use Stabilio pens with water, because they bleed nicely <3 (examples of this can be seen here >> [link] ). I also dabble in colouring pencils and pastels, but they are not my forte. If you'd like to specify which of these mediums you'd prefer if I am drawing you a traditional piece, please let me know <3

For Digital pieces, I'll be using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Professional along with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet for drawing (examples: [link] [link] [link])

General Rules (IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A REQUEST!)
*Again, if you decide to commission me, you MUST pay upfront atleast half the price before I can begin your piece. If you can pay the full price upfront before I begin, all the better.

*DO NOT redistribute my work or use it for commercial purposes without my permission. If you wish to alter it for web graphics, icons etc. please ask my permission first (I will probably say yes, but I think it would just be nice if you asked first)

*However, if you wish to hire me for commercial purposes, please contact me at my e-mail: artisoul@yahoo.co.uk

*Please provide me with enough information and character references so that I can create something that you will be satisfied with. I will probably note you with pictures during the process to show you how things are going.

*Stuff I will/will not draw:

-I am comfortable with drawing nudes, whether male or female :3

-Although I am comfortable with drawing mild romantic situations including nude/fully/partially clothed characters (for example, kissing, hugging) I will NOT draw sexually explicit situations. That means no porn/hentai, sorry kids.

-I will also not draw gore/guro, dismembered limbs, explicitly violent situations etc.

-I am comfortable with depicting romantic situations that are either heterosexual or homosexual (gay and lesbian).

Last but not least, if you wish to commission me PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS POST AND THEN WE CAN TAKE THINGS FROM THERE VIA NOTE/E-MAIL

Also, if you have any questions, fire ahead!

And thankyou to ~AtemsGirl4ever for helping me with pricing. Also, =Morbid-Tyriel, I referenced your guidlines a bit, I hope that's okay.

SO! It is summer!! And until I start working again, I currently find myself with nothing to do ;_; This is very unusual for me.

So, I just thought I'd put this out there, would anyone be interested in commissioning me? I feel I'm at a stage where I might just be worthy of doing them now. The prices really would not be expensive, I'd be doing it more for fun and for getting experience working for clients, although having a bit of money is nice.

The work I would produce for you would be as high quality as I can achieve, whether traditional or digital.

So, any takers?

Also, a hundred million thankyous to those of you who left comments or simply just watched my latest animated short <333333333 You guys, your support is amazing <333333 I look forward to hopefully spending more time with you this summer :3
